Have the priest ask,
"You love him. Real or not Real?"
Answer, "Real" instead of "I do."
From the beginning to the end.
The Save the Date Cards
So obviously it all depends on your budget.
Save the Date Bookmark
The theme after all is based off a book!
This is super easy to make and you can add pictures, details and whatever else!
Plus its cheap to mail out.
Invitations
A book!
Weren't expecting THAT were ya? Just Kidding.
Well obviously in keeping with our theme, a book would be an obvious choice.
You an always get demented and send out reaping invites but hey, this is a day of love.
You can recreate a book cover, add your own title and even put several pages for information.
If your budget is pretty high, you can even get a custom little book made!
Now for the Wedding
Colors: Brown, Cream and Green
Location: Outdoors : woods, park or garden
Katniss loved the forest and her favorite color was green,
so incorporating this to your wedding is a must!
I think that adding as much of the story to your wedding
would make it even more memorable.
Like walking down the aisle to the song by Taylor Swift specifically for The Hunger Games Movie!
The Bride
The Dress: A simple, vintage gown.
The Hair: A braid of course!
Shoes: Sandals
The Bouquet: A small quiver filled with wild flowers and small arrows.
The Bridal Party
Bridesmaids
I know that many of the clothing mentioned in the book have been extravagant
and as much as I love Cinna, I think that Katniss would have had
a very simple wedding.
As for bouquets, some gathered wild flowers would look fitting.
Specially Primrose bouquets!
Groomsmen
There's nothing more handsome and fitting for this theme than the mismatched groomsmen.
Don't forget to put your groom in that signature ORANGE tie!
After all, that is Peeta's favorite color.
And most importantly, that Mocking Jay pin instead of the traditional boutonniere.
On a side note, another cute detail:
Have your ring bearer cary the rings on an old book!
Decorations
In my opinion, assuming this wedding is outdoors
and in a beautiful location like a garden-
the decorations should be kept minimal.
Using your surroundings is the best form of decorating.
Also take from your environment and keep your
decor natural. A ton of flowers, leaves and twigs!
A very easy DIY decor would be this:
Just fill a mason jar with moss and battery operated LED lights.
Tape the battery pack on to the lid of the jar for easy access.
Use ribbon, wire or rope to hang on chairs or just leave them on the floor lining the aisle!
The Reception, tables, cake and more!
A fun idea for the tables would be to have
each table represent a district.
So instead of "Table 1" your guest card will say
"District 1"
Center Piece
Keep your theme going all around and stack some books in the center of the table,
you can add flowers and whatever else you want,
but I think this is elegant on its own.
Plus its a cheap and easy decor!
Have Hunger Games Food!
The book was filled with so many delicious dishes and of course the significance of bread.
Have dandelion salad, beef stew and lots of artisan breads!
Don't forget your bowl of berries for the sweetheart table!
